In a world of technology filled with smart phones, computers, televisions, ipads, tablets, etc, we’ve become trapped and fallen victim to mindless addictions of technology. It’s pretty safe to say that, it was all created by design to keep you spinning your wheels on the treadmill of life full of distractions. There’s never been a time where we’ve had so many gadgets and different ways to communicate that even a simple phone call is hardly ever answered and a message returned. Let’s not mention the distractions of social media, when you log in with the intentions of just checking in for a few minutes and you find yourself going down the rabbit trail and later realize that 2 hours of your time has passed away. Unfortunately, you can never recoup your time and once it’s gone, it can never to be returned again.
Mindfulness can best be defined as paying attention on purpose in the moment as if your life depended on it, non-judgmentally. If you want something different, you must write a new script to get the results you want.

Take for example you keep meeting the same type of person, same character traits, etc but just in a different body. It’s not until you recognize what you're creating that you can change the program.
It’s important to understand that your thoughts are creating your choices, choices are creating your behavior, your behavior is creating the experiences, your experiences are creating your emotions and your emotions are therefore driving your thoughts. So why is it important to practice mindfulness? There are many reasons why but here are just a few:

Meditation is just one way but it’s not the only way. Here are a few other ways in which you can cultivate mindfulness:
By staying aware and practicing these techniques, you can reduce your stress level and become more productive in all areas of your life.
