I remember when I first took the leap of faith and quit my corporate job to venture into the world of entrepreneurship. It was the scariest thing I've ever done in my life! Although it was the most challenging thing I've ever done in my life, it's has also been the most rewarding. I should probably write a book about the many trials I encountered and some day I will. But for now, I took some of those lessons and decided to put them in my blog so here goes.
Have you ever wondered why some people can be super successful and unfulfilled? I'm reminded of the bible scripture that says, what does it profit a man to gain the whole world but lose his soul. Many people chase money instead of chasing their purpose and when you're passionate about something, it will produce profits.
I was listening to my favorite Life Coach, Tony Robbins and he made a quote that resonated within me that spoke volumes. I quote "success without fulfillment is failure." This explains why some people can climb to the top of the mountain and reach it's peak and give it all up because there's no fulfillment. You may not see it this way, but it's true. So let's review the 6 basic needs that all humans need in order to achieve fulfillment:
When we are authentic, we are free to create. There is nothing stopping us, we move in alignment with the true essence of our being. If you’re living any other way, you’re dishonoring who you are. We live in a world full of illusions, where most people are completely detached from their higher selves and can only see the things that money can buy. We show up in the world wearing masks trying to cover up our truth and we keep the charade going while dying inside, in bondage and fearing what other people may say.
The #1 rule to living an authentic life is to become spontaneous to who you are in the moment. We conform to habits based on our environment and become enslaved to the mental constructs and negative thought forms that no longer serve our highest good. Our beliefs and perceptions mold and shape our reality which affects our mentality. But spirit continues to whisper to us in a still small voice but the ego says, "no I won't go!" We forget that we're here in human form to serve a higher spiritual purpose.
To live an awakened authentic life, you must live your truth. You must show up daily and be fully present, which is the first step towards success in life. You may find yourself asking, what is my truth? Only you can answer that and if you can’t, someone else will answer for you. When you do not define yourself for yourself, you’ll end up crushed into other people’s fantasies. If you’re distant from what your heart and soul is speaking to you, you forget who you are.
Know thyself and be true to yourself. Set yourself free! Let go of the fear, remove the mask and step into the space of your true authentic self by allowing life to fully express itself through you. Live your life to it’s ultimate fullest expression. Reach down, dig deep inside it's there and awaiting to express itself through you.
I was sitting at the table this past Saturday eating breakfast, the house was quiet, no radio, no television or cell phone which is usually the routine. As I began to put a spoonful of my cereal in my mouth, I realized that was the first time I'd sat down to eat without any distractions in quite some time. I became aware of how flavorful the cereal was, or maybe it's always been but I was too distracted and busy to notice. I'd made myself a promise that I would not conform to the traps of this little device called the "smart phone".
Yes it's smart alright, so smart that even when you set the intention not to succumb to all of it's conveniences, you find yourself sliding right into its home base. But Mtruth be told, it's not the smart phone that's the problem, it's the habitual thoughts of the mind. Throughout the day, it's a constant reminder to pick it up to check your Facebook status, check email, watch a video, check your calendar, set reminders and the list goes on and on. No wonder it becomes habitual, it's convenient and small enough to carry in your hand and has everything you need to run a multi-million dollar business.
I must admit that I'm truly grateful for it's invention, because it's made my life so much easier. But as I look around and see millions of people trapped and enslaved to the addiction of the smart phone, I realize that it was created by design. It was created and designed to keep you under control and on a treadmill with the busyness of life. Most of all it was designed as a replacement of your brain, to think for you and eliminate the need to hear the voice of others an most of all the personal connections.
There was a time when you could sit next to a person and have a conversation without the distractions of a cell phone. There was a time when you congregate and network without the distractions of a cell phone. But yet the very reason you attend a networking gathering is to network and meet new people but if you look around the room, you'll see almost every person in attendance on their phones. Our attention spans have become so short, most can't even pay attention. It seems as though mindfulness has become obsolete and smart phones are running our lives.
Here are a few empowering questions to ask yourself:
I have a confession to make, I have a big fear of public speaking. Yes, I know you may be thinking to yourself, no not you! But yes, even though I didn't want to admit it, I must own it and deal with it. Believe it or not, for years I've listened to my inner critic telling me that I wasn't good enough, smart enough, pretty enough and incapable of expressing myself and articulate my authentic self. In addition to that, I feared that people would judge and criticize me for doing so.
One day I had an awareness that those thoughts and insecurities were apart of my ego that didn't want me to grow and remain small. The "big me" was trying to grow, evolve and progress for years but I suppressed it because of all the fears and limitations I placed on myself. It felt good being in a place of comfort, complacent and accepting where I was and not having to challenge myself to dare to be different, let go and fly. I suppressed it as long as I could and even though I looked good on the outside, I was dying inside.
My spirit was suffocating and couldn't find a way to grow, evolve and express herself. It started to show up by the aches and pains in my body temple. I started to think back when my children were growing up, they were growing so fast they would always out grow their shoes first. You know how uncomfortable it feels wearing shoes that are too tight and small. It causes a lot of discomfort, hurt, pain, blisters and corns that will last for years and sometimes never go away. When we make a choice to stay small and avoid listening to the voice of our higher self, it sets up energetic blocks that manifest as health issues in the body.
We've all experienced growing pains and fear when life calls us to step out, take a leap or walk through the doors of uncertainty. But if you never stand up, face it and do it anyway, you'll never know what may be waiting for you on the other side. So you must first recognize and own that you are afraid. Next, you must accept the fact that you're not courageous enough to do it alone and call upon your higher power (God/Goddess, Universe, Infinite Intelligence, Divine Mind) to assist you. God's "super" connected with your "natural" ability to take action will give you "SUPERNATURAL" to accomplish whatever you put your mind too !
So how about you? What is your biggest fear? What's stopping you and keeping you small?
I'd love to hear your thoughts, time to face your fear and do it anyway.

CREATE AN INTENTIONAL LIFE!
You've probably heard that you can only get where you want to be if you know where you're going. This statement is as true now as the first time it was said. So how do you come to know where you're going, so you can get where you want to be?
To start with, goals are crucial. When we set goals, what we're really trying to do is to bring each piece of our lives in line with our overall vision for ourselves. Using a powerful vision-setting process can help you set more effective goals, since you can chart a course that will take you toward and support your vision.
Do you have a vision for each segment of your life? Do you know where you're headed spiritually, socially, relationally, physically, financially, and more?
Use this process to help you create a vision that works for you:
Visualize. Read your vision statement & look at your vision board 2-3 times a day and imagine that aspect of your life matches your vision perfectly. How does your vision make you feel? Are you really excited and enthusiastic? Is it appealing to you on all levels? This shouldn't take more than 60 seconds to do each time.
Refine. If you feel really good about your vision, that's great. If not, now is the time to make some alterations. Continue refining the image of your dream life until doing your visualization feels spectacular. Re-write each new version.
At this point, you may be wondering when this process ever ends. Fortunately, it never ends. Your vision will forever be changing slightly throughout your life, which is good, since your desires will also change over time.
Why Spend Time On This Process?
Consider all the things you do every day. Everything you do is either helping you reach your vision or helping someone else reach theirs. Wouldn’t you rather help yourself reach yours?
Creating a vision is the first step to creating the life you desire. Tweak your visions a couple of times a day and really focus on the experience of living that vision. This gets easier all the time, because imagining something enjoyable is pleasurable in itself.
Don't hesitate; create your visions today. Then, start reviewing and improving them immediately. Your life will change rapidly for the better. You'll then be spending your time making your own visions a reality instead of making someone else's dream come true.

Has your life ever been disrupted and you found it hard to pinpoint what’s really going on with you? The world today is full of technology where everything and everybody is demanding your attention. There are so many different media channels now available (television, radio, cell phones, email, text messaging, social media and the internet) you may find it hard to stay focused.
Energy flows where your attention goes. The mind is an energy field and it responds to focus. When the conscious mind is not paying attention to what the subconscious mind is bringing up (old programs), the old patterns of behavior comes into play. You can deliberately decide everyday to create your life or continue to live your life by default. Being in a constant state of awareness of your thoughts & feelings is the key to being a deliberate creator. To gain control of your mind requires extreme focus, will power and self discipline to deliberately create your life. By training your mind to come into alignment with what you declare and decree, you’ll find that things will naturally fall into order with minimal effort and life becomes more satisfying.
You can live a joyous and prosperous life by making a quality decision that you can be, have and do anything your heart desires by taking control of your thoughts, emotions and having a positive mental attitude.
